A small, friendly faculty with around thirty teaching staff. Access to the Faculty is generally good.

Large lift to all floors, located at entrance 3. All staircases have continuous handrails.
All lecture theatres accessible. One is tiered, with fold-down seats and tables, but room for a wheelchair at the back. Others are spacious, with level seating and moveable furniture.
All teaching rooms are either at ground level or have level access from lift. Generally spacious, with moveable seats and tables. Some awkward seats with fixed arm-rest style tables, but other furniture could be provided if necessary.
Ground floor, with level access through two sets of double doors. Fixed tables and moveable chairs. Plenty of space, except between the large volumes shelves at the back. Staffed when open, and staff will help as necessary.
Ground floor, in room off Library. Fairly spacious, with moveable chairs. Can get busy, but staff can arrange for you to use the four catalogue computers in the main library for internet access.

Undergraduate common room on first floor. Level access, plenty of space, and various types of furniture. Graduate common room on ground floor near entrance 1 is accessible.

Currently no special software available. Lighting in computer room is great, with large windows.
Ask individual lecturers in advance for large print copies of handouts. Other large print information on prior request.
Lighting in library is good during the day, due to large windows either side. Main lighting in evening activated by motion sensors. Individual lamps on each desk are rather dim. Ask staff for portable lamps. Library has magnifying glasses and photocopiers for text enlargement. The paleography section has an ancient adjustable magnifying device — ask library staff.
Main signs are large and visible, and temporary notices of lectures and events are also clearly displayed. Door numbers large and clear.
Portable induction loops are available to borrow. Arrange in advance with the Disability Liaison Officer.
Arrangements for members with Specific Learning Difficulties are on an individual basis, in conjunction with the Disability Resource Centre. Discuss your needs with the Disability Liaison Officer.
Some seating in lecture theatres may be replaced in the medium term.
