 Research Awards

This page provides links to all the main research awarding bodies in the UK that provide funding for a range of activities: large research projects, travel grants, conference funds, replacement salary costs.

Application Process

Please inform the Administrative Officer if you are planning to submit a research grant, no matter how small.  The Univeristy requires that an electronic application (called a PFACT) is submitted to Research Services Division (RSD) for approval and the RSD also provides the institutional signature and stamp for many applications. The Administrative Officer will complete the PFACT on behalf of colleagues and will also arrange for the application form to be taken to RSD for signature.

Deadlines

RSD requests that applications are sent for approval at least ONE WEEK before the deadline, therefore the Administrative Officer will need to receive the application details at least four days prior to the RSD deadline in order to complete the PFACT.
