Applications for Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships

The Faculty of Classics is happy to consider applications for Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships, as long as an application is also made for matching funding from the Isaac Newton Trust.

Applications will be considered by the Faculty and those which receive Faculty support will initially be sent to the Isaac Newton Trust for consideration. Those applications which receive support from the Isaac Newton Trust will then be considered by the Leverhulme Trust.

Information about the Isaac Newton Trust can be found at

http://www.newtontrust.cam.ac.uk/

Information about the Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships, including application forms, can be found at

http://www.leverhulme.ac.uk/funding/ECF/ECF.cfm

Initial applications must be received in electronic form by the Faculty Administrator, Mrs Jane Fisher-Hunt (fjf24@cam.ac.uk) by 12 noon on Friday 6th January.   Applicants are asked to send three things:

1.  A pdf version of their draft Leverhulme application,

2.  A CV,

3.  A substantial writing sample (normally the Ph.D thesis or the thesis as revised for publication).

The Leverhulme website says that its application forms can be accessed from the 4 January 2012, so applicants are advised that they will not be able to send in their applications to the Faculty before that date.

Please do not hesitate to contact Jane Fisher-Hunt for further information.
