Appointment in Archaeology

19 November 2012
Dr Alessandro Launaro has been appointed to a University Lectureship in Classical Archaeology

Dr Alessandro Launaro will be taking up the position of University
Lecturer in Classics (Classical Archaeology) on 1 September 2013. He holds
degrees from the University of Pisa and he is currently a Leverhulme Early
Career Research Fellow here in the Faculty of Classics. He is also a

archaeology of towns and landscapes in the Ancient Mediterranean (with a

colonisation/imperialism, patterns of production, distribution and
consumption) as seen through both material and textual evidence.
