Faculty-member's book read by royalty

21 December 2012
Prince Philip has been photographed taking Christopher Kelly's 'The End of Empire' away as his Christmas reading.

In a choice described as 'unusual' by the Daily Mail (we disagree, of course), Prince Philip was photographed taking Dr Christopher Kelly's 2009 book The End of Empire: Attila the Hun and the Fall of Rome away for holiday reading. This earned Dr Kelly's book a special feature on the Mail's website. Maybe the Queen will borrow it afterwards...

Dr Kelly's book, which tells us a more rounded story of Attila than the popular legend, can be bought on Amazon, if you feel like spending Christmas like royalty.
