The faculty is very saddened by the death of Eric Handley
It is with great sadness that the Faculty learned of the death on Thursday 17 January of Professor Eric Handley, CBE (1983), FBA (1969), Regius Professor of Greek 1984-1994. Professor Handley was perhaps best known for his edition in 1965 of Menander's Dyskolos and for his publication of a major fragment of Menander's Dis Exapaton, which placed the study of Plautus' sources on a new footing.
