Archives

The Museum of Classical Archaeology is home to several collections of archival material, ranging from lantern slides and turn-of-the-century photographic collections to archaeological notebooks and site plans. Our archives are an important resource for research, learning and general interest, but they are not usually on display to the public.

The archives can be consulted by appointment only, subject to availability. If you would like to arrange a visit to examine material from the archives, please contact our curator to discuss your needs and book an appointment at least one week in advance:

A collection of photographs, letters and documents relating to the travels through Turkey of archaeologist and writer George E. Bean.

Sat: 10am-1pm (Univ. term-time only)
Sun: Closed

Closed on Bank Holidays

We are currently open on Saturdays.

Easter Term Saturday Openings begin on Saturday 29th April and end on Saturday 10th June 2017.

*We will be closed on Monday 1st May for the Bank Holiday*
