The Museum of Classical Archaeology often hosts museum exhibitions, supplementing our permanent collection of plaster casts.
Sometimes we bring out objects from our stores which we don't normally have on show to make a new display. Sometimes we also invite contemporary artists to show their work in our space. In each case, we encourage our visitors to see the casts of Greek and Roman sculpture with fresh eyes. So if you're looking for things to do in Cambridge, why not check out one of our temporary exhibitions?
Temporary exhibitions are put on show in the Cast Gallery, our main display space, and – as always – admission is free.
21st April - 9th June 2017
Lost is a haunting exhibition by artist Issam Kourbaj, exploring the plight of Syrian refugees in Greece with plaster casts of clothing from those lost at sea.
If you are an artist and have an idea for an exhibition, please contact our curator.
