Sensing Space

Streets, Green Houses and Sofas: The Enchantment of Everyday Encounters

March 11th - April 10th 2015

The Museum Of Classical Archaeology presents Sensing Space, an exhibition of large pastel paintings by Cambridge artist Lynne Brown. The images capture the enchantment of ordinary spaces - from street to green houses and alleyways.

Inspired by her daily encounters and everyday movements, the artist looks at the play between real and social space. The technique of layered mark making creates a richly sensorial experience of the places depicted in each painting.
