Faculty of Classics

The Museum of Classical Archaeology is part of the Faculty of Classics within the School of Arts and Humanities in the University of Cambridge. The Museum is governed by a Museum Committee which meets once a term and whose members are appointed by the Faculty Board of Classics and the University General Board.

The Museum is also one of nine accredited University of Cambridge Museums and Collections. Together, these institutions form a partnership: University of Cambridge Museums (UCM). The collaborative work of the UCM has been generously supported by Arts Council England since April 2012, when we received Major Partner Museum Funding to support our ambitious Connecting Collections programme. From April 2018, we are delighted to have been awarded National Portfolio Funding by Arts Council England for 2018-22.
