Exhibitions at the Museum of Classical Archaeology are an exciting way of creating new conversations in our Cast Gallery, bringing contemporary art, academic research, and archival materials into direct dialogue with our collection of plaster casts of classical sculpture.
Sometimes we bring out objects from our stores which we don't normally have on show to make a new display. Sometimes we also invite contemporary artists to show their work in our space. In each case, we encourage our visitors to see the casts of Greek and Roman sculpture with fresh eyes. So if you're looking for things to do in Cambridge, why not check out one of our temporary exhibitions?
Temporary exhibitions are put on show in the Cast Gallery, our main display space, and – as always – admission is free.

Proposing an Exhibition
Would you like to exhibit with us?
Our exhibitions celebrate creative works by artists both local and from further afield. We welcome exhibition proposals from artists of diverse backgrounds and would love to hear from you if you would like to interpret our space or collection in creative ways. Find out more about the importance of diversity and equality to the University of Cambridge Museums by reading the Change Makers Action Group Manifesto.
Exhibition proposals are considered by our Committee. If you would like to propose an exhibition, please contact our Curator:
