Biography

I am Lloyd-Dan David Research Fellow at the Needham Research Institute and Darwin College. I recently submitted my PhD in History and Philosophy of Science at Robinson College. I completed an MPhil in History and Philosophy of Science at Gonville & Caius and a BA in Classics at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.

Research

Ancient science, comparative history of science, philosophy of science.

I am interested in most aspects of ancient science, medicine and mathematicsMy current project is a comparative investigation of ancient Greek and Chinese medicine. My doctoral thesis was a study of the Mechanica attributed to Aristotle.
