Biography
Elisabeth’s PhD examines the reinterpretation of Classical Greek political history in the Late Republic and Early Principate, with a particular focus on the manner in which the Romans utilised Greek exempla. She came to Cambridge in 2019 after completing her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Master of Philosophy at the University of Sydney. Her Honours thesis explored the parallels between the Athenian Amnesty of 403BC and the amnesty Cicero negotiated after the assassination of Caesar in 44BC. Her Masters thesis investigated the extent to which Cornelius Nepos' portrayal of tyranny in Foreign Generals reflects his concerns about the so-called Second Triumvirate.

Elisabeth's broader research interests include ancient biography, political theory, the history of memory, and Greek and Roman law.
Teaching
Elisabeth supervises undergraduates in the C (Ancient History) Caucus.
