Summer at the Museums: The Romans are Coming!

Travel to the world of ancient Rome during an action-packed family day at the Museum of Classical Archaeology. Ever wondered what it was like to be a Roman soldier or wear a toga? Now is your chance to find out. Try on traditional Roman dress, take part in hands-on crafts and other family activities - and meet a real Roman soldier!

This is a Summer at the Museums event.

• This event takes place outside and inside the Museum.
• Outside, there will be shade and sunshine.
• Inside, the Cast Gallery is on the first floor.
• We provide step-free access via our lift. To use the lift please ask at the reception on the ground floor of the Faculty of Classics.
• An accessible toilet is available on the ground floor.
• Seating will be available inside.

Our glass-roofed gallery can get very warm in the summer months. We recommend bringing water if the weather is forecast to be warm and sunny.
