Application Checklist

Your application needs to include:

• Two academic references

• Transcript

• CV/resume

• Evidence of competence in English

• Statement of Interest and Experience (1500 characters)

An explanation of why you are interested in studying on this course. Please include details of any prior knowledge of ancient Greek and/or Latin, and briefly summarise any other language learning experience. Please also state here any plans or preferences for the non-language element of the course if you have them (it's no problem if not).

• Sample of work (document upload)

A piece of academic writing of around 2,500 to 5,000 words.

Please note that the application form is the same as for all postgraduate degrees. You can ignore the section on “research” (and disregard the instruction, “You must provide the title of your proposed research …”) and choose “no” for “Do you have any research information to add?”

Please note too that the number of offers we make is capped, so early applications are advised. No preference is given to applicants wanting to study both languages over those applying to study a single language, or vice versa.
