About
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Greek and Latin Papyrology contributing to the ERC-funded project Education in Graeco-Roman Egypt: An Intercultural Approach.
I hold degrees in Classics from the University of Barcelona (BA, 2019), the University of Oxford (MSt, 2020), and the Complutense University of Madrid (PhD, 2025).
During my doctoral studies, I was a researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) while teaching in the Department of Classics at the Complutense University of Madrid. I also undertook research stays at Freie Universität Berlin, University College London, and the Institut Français d’Archéologie Orientale in Cairo.
Research
My research focuses on education in the ancient Mediterranean world, with particular emphasis on Graeco-Roman Egypt. My doctoral thesis examined the transformation of literary education in Egypt during Late Antiquity through the analysis of a corpus of more than 300 Greek and Coptic school papyri.
My main research interests include the transmission and exchange of knowledge in Antiquity, the evolution of educational curricula, the sociolinguistics of ancient education, and the edition of Greek, Latin, and Coptic texts preserved on papyrus. More broadly, I am interested in how educational practices were shaped by wider cultural, material, and social dynamics, and in the ways these processes influenced the production, transmission, and reception of knowledge across the ancient Mediterranean.
