The triennial Cambridge Greek play this year (13th-16th October, Arts Theatre) will be Aeschylus' masterpiece Agamemnon. All interested students are warmly invited to participate in a day-long academic symposium desgined to tie in with the Greek Play, which will explore Agamemnon by focusing on its language and dramaturgy, recent production history, performability, and the creation of this year's Cambridge Greek play.
The symposium is intended to draw together both academics and theatre practitioners, and will be open to students and the public alike. The symposium will be of particular value to students in Classics, English (especially those taking the 'Tragedy' paper) and Drama, but all interested parties are very welcome.
A programme for the day may be found here.
